Put simply, the Postal Service is going the way of the dinosaur. Post officials sent a list of nearly 700 potential closing candidates to the independent Postal Regulatory Commission for review. More may be added, but the current list of candidates can be viewed at the commission’s Web site, http://www.prc.gov.

According to Examiner, n the political realm there is sure to be some fights as to which offices are closed. The closing of an offices may lead to loss of jobs and revenue for some communities. In addition, the closures will likely frustrate many people who will now have to travel further to mail packages. Congressman will be watching closely to see what final decisions the Postal Regulatory Commission makes.
