Anne Sluti Taken in Broad Daylight Interviewed with Dateline
More than four years since a Kearney teenager girl was kidnapped from a shopping mall parking lot. Anne Sluti was captive for six days before finally being freed in Montana.

Anne Sluti told Dateline that Zappa would tie, chain and tape her up when they were on the move.
One time he offered to let her go if Anne could free herself from the duct tape he used to bind her wrists and ankles.
She says, “There was a barbed wire fence. I tried to cut the stuff off my wrist with one of the barbs but I, like, cut myself and it didn’t work very well.”
She says Zappa then tried to burn the duct tape off with a lighter and it burned her arm, leaving a scar.
Anthony Zappa was convicted in 2002 of kidnapping and is serving a life sentence in Kansas.
