Authorities investigating the death of Arturo Gatti have revealed Arturo Gatti’s wife Amanda is one of their main suspects in the boxer’s death. On Saturday morning in Porto de Galihnas in Brazil, Gatti was found dead by wife in their rented condo at the seaside resort. Arturo Gatti was at a resort enjoying his second honeymoon with his Brazilian wife Amanda and his 1-year-old son.
Former boxing champ Arturo Gatti’s wife Amanda revealed to authorities that, she and her husband were involved in a very heated argument on Friday night in a Brazilian bar. She claims that, Arturo Gatti was drunk when they came home.

According to reports police found a blood stained purse strap that one detective believes may have been used to strangle the fighter.
Brazilian boxer and four-time world champion Acelino Popo (who is close friend of Arturo Gatti’s ) Freitas told the G1 Web site of Brazil’s largest television network Globo that, he knew Gatti and his wife were having some sort of problem and were about to separate.
