Will.i.am said:

Will told The Mirror in a story:

“He was my friend and the biggest inspiration of my life. I’m going to miss him.”

According to tampabay.com, The Black Eyed Peas singer said he worked with Jackson for a year on the album, which was recorded in Ireland. In addition, Jackson had sent word that he wanted the Black Eyed Peas to open for him during his 50-date slate of concerts in London.
