88.84 Percent Pass Primary Terminal Exams, Female 87.51pc & Male 90.44pc
The 88.84 percent of examinees have passed Primary Education Terminal Examination 2009. The newly introduced exam result was formally handed over to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office Tuesday afternoon.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Afsarul Amin briefed newsmen around 3:00pm about the results at his secretariat office. Students can get their results from upazila, district and divisional primary education offices.
The passing rate of male students is 90.44 while the female students is 87.51 percent. Some 19,79,895 students appeared for the exam this year, of which, 10,72,325 are female while 9,07,570 are male students.
The students must pass the terminal exam to get enrolled in class VI. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of their results in two categories, talent-pool and general– half to boys and half to girls.
Monohordi Government Primary School in Narsingdi student name Sabiha Sikder stood first while Dipannita Tithi of Arpara Shibganj Model Government Primary School in Jhenidah and Hasin Tanvir of RK Government Primary School in Tangail got second and third positions in the examination.
