Patricia Cornwell is a contemporary American crime writer. She is widely known for writing a popular series of novels featuring the heroine Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a medical examiner.
The Actress Angelina Jolie met with the author to persuade Cornwell into allowing movie adaptations of her Scarpetta novels to be made. After meeting on common ground, the author agreed to the film franchise!
The films are said to be suspense thrillers centering around the character of Dr. Kay Scarpetta, the “opera-loving” coroner Ange hopes to play.
