Balloon Boy, Wife Swap Richard Heene’s Son Falcon Heene Found Alive

Falcon Heene (6-year-old), who set off a massive search and rescue operation and media frenzy after it was reported he was inside a homemade helium balloon that broke loose and drifted for hours thousands of feet above Colorado was found safe in his attic late Thursday. Heartwarming happy ending, right. Yeah, not so much. The Heenes– who appeared on ABC’s Wife Swap last March — were featured on Larry King Live, with CNN’s guest host Wolf Blitzer, a few minutes ago. When asked why he didnt come out of hiding when he heard his parents calling his name, young Falcon replied, “You guys said we did this for the show.” (36 second mark)

I do not think the story was a hoax. I think the public took something a 6 year old boy said and assumed he was talking about the show. They were used to shows and he is definitely too young to realize the difference of a show or maybe a show the dad had said they may have some day. Come on. Give this story a chance to be reality. It was not a hoax and I feel sorry for the family.
  • Boy in Balloon and Bologna, Yeah, that goes together...
The family in the interview looks terrified they will be found out.
It's a publicity stunt and the dad needs to pay for all the marketing...
He looks like a scam-mer and the family looks like they are careful not to cross hem.. The children could not have come up with that kind of reality show on the news... The father played on the sympathy of the viewers... He should pay a hefty fine and reimburse all services rendered for the scam...

Definitely agree it's an obvious hoax where nothing adds up, and if you dont regard Falcon's admission on tv last night as evidence then what else do you need? How about a pattern created by a weird fame-chasing family who not coincidentally has been on Wife Swap, an internet series, YouTube, on & on.. If you guys definitely miss this obvious hoax I'm definitely disappointed in CNN. Just because you were taken in by the hoax doesn't mean you should keep going along with it. Add on those weird morning show appearances. Nothing adds up. It's okay to admit you were wrong about this, just as you rightfully insist on that from politicians.
  • It seems implausible to believe the family actually say one of the children video taped the 6 year old child getting into that jiffy pop balloon contraption with a supposed cardboard bottom and he could somehow be able to secure himself inside of it?? If the boy's weight is between 40-45 lbs.and the speed of the balloon is traveling @ approximately 25 miles per hr in a 2 hour span at an elevation exceeding 500' in the air and it finally lands around 50 miles from the home the scientist father logically explain exactly how he woud believe his son could have been inside of it? It truly defys logic and sounds like a publicity stunt or hoax of some sort. It is most unfortunate for parents to involve small children in dangerous activities, such as storm chasing, mommie swapping and bogus balloon mischief.
