NASCAR Hall of Fame First 5 Inductees Announcements
There is an announcements today for NASCAR Hall of Fame first 5 inductees. The committee in charge of inducting the inaugural members of NASCAR’s Hall of Fame will announce the charter class today.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame will announce its first five inductees on Wednesday afternoon.
The late Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty and Bill France Sr. — the founder of NASCAR – appear to be certain choices.
The final two will come from a list of 25, which included the above three. The inductees were chose by a 47-member voting committee and one fan vote.
The nominees voted on were: Bobby Allison, Buck Baker, Red Byron, Richard Childress, Dale Earnhardt, Richie Evans, Tim Flock, Bill France Jr., Bill France Sr., Rick Hendrick, Ned Jarrett, Junior Johnson, Bud Moore, Raymond Parks, Benny Parsons, David Pearson, Lee Petty, Richard Petty, Fireball Roberts, Herb Thomas, Curtis Turner, Darrell Waltrip, Joe Weatherly, Glen Wood and Cale Yarborough.

The Hall of Fame is scheduled to open May 11, 2010. Tickets for adults will be $19.95 and tickets for children will be $12.95.
