Florida quarterback Tim Tebow Injury Video and Pics

tim-tebow-injuryTimothy Richard “Tim” Tebow is a Heisman Trophy-winning American football quarterback for the Florida Gators. was taken to the UK Medical Center by ambulance after taking a shot to the head while being sacked in the third quarter of the No. 1 Gators’ game against Kentucky at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday night.

Tebow opened the 2009 season continuing a streak of of throwing and running for a touchdown in blowout wins over Charleston Southern and Troy. He ran for a touchdown in the third game, a win against Tennessee, but failed to throw for a touchdown for the first time since his freshman season.Tebow started against Kentucky despite suffering from a respiratory illness and taking two bags of intravenous fluids before the game.He ran for two touchdowns to put him in 2nd place on the all-time SEC touchdown list and he also threw for a touchdown. Late in the third quarter he was hit in the chest by Kentucky defensive end Taylor Wyndham and then in the back of the head while falling by knee of Florida tackle Marcus Gilbert. He lay motionless for several seconds before being helped to the sidelines. Once there, he vomited. He was taken by ambulance to the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.A CT scan showed no bleeding in the brain, but officials called the injury a “bad concussion”.

If Tebow’s injury is minor and he makes full recovery soon, well and good. But god forbid if it goes otherwise and Tebow ends up sitting outside, how do you think the Gators would perform. Where would that leave their strategy and team.

Do they have a contingency plan in place? How do you reckon is the second QB of the team. Only time and matches would tell.
